I’ve always wanted to do a random blog about me to grant my readers a little more access into my world.   I decided today, I would start doing vlogs also about my ‘natural hair’ journey.

1.  I miss school… Like really, really miss it!! I would give anything to have homework.

2.  I have an addiction to windshield wiper fluid.   I buy a new bottle each month because I hate spots on my windshield.

3.   I sleep with 10 pillows on my bed.

4.  I’m “Bargain Jane” when it comes to shopping.  I hate paying full price for anything.   However, I also look for quality. 

5.  I’m a great swimmer.  I’ve never been afraid of water and I’m addicted to beaches. 

6.  Atlanta is my favorite city.  I love Black People!  Every time I visit, I feel like it’s where I’m supposed to live.

7.  Although I said I don’t ever want to live in Louisiana again, my heart says I should move there and teach.

8.  I love the South and everything about it.  The food, people, accents, and Southern Hospitality all contribute to this Southern girl’s happiness. 

9.  I love Natural Hair!!!  I think it’s the most attractive thing on a woman.  If someone ever were to ask my type, I guess I’d say “a natural.”  (side bar- Natural hair blog coming soon)

10.  I’m not into the party scene.  I interned at GO Magazine and grew up in the party scene too fast.   I’m also uninspired and discourage by today’s NY lesbian party scene.

11.  I wish the black LGBTQ community had more unity.  We are so divided!

12.  I want to write children’s books more than anything else.  This is where my passion and love for writing first began.  I miss the Amelia Bedelia and Miss Nelson series. 

13.  I Love Tinkerbell!

14.  I have a serious addiction to body art.  I want to do a half-sleeve tattoo.  I will soon.

15.  Jesus is the head of my life

16.  MAC Cosmetics make me smile. 

17.  I prefer flying over driving; however, I require vodka to fly!!

18.  My dream is to visit the Pacific Ocean and write my first Children’s Book.

19.  I love having conversations with intellectuals.

20.  Love feels great.

21.  MY favorite food is crawfish, but it has to be boiled in Louisiana.  Crabs come second and Maryland has some yummy sweet crabs.

22.  I wish the Mall of America would leave Minnesota and come to NY or wherever I choose to move.

23.  My mother is the strongest woman I know and I wouldn’t trade her or our journey for anything.

24.  I’m proud to come from a mixed background, (West Indian) Jamaican and American.  

25.  My favorite song of all time is Donnie Hathaway’s, “A Song for You”

26.  I don’t hold grudges towards people who’ve hurt me.  Life is too short and things happen so we can grow

27.  I will be successful.  Thoughts become things.  I’m claiming everything!!!

This actually felt really great and I wanted to continue.  I think I may do a random ‘confessions’ blog every few months.  I really missed blogging, but I don’t want to go overboard in my subscriber’s email updates.  Thank you so much!
